Chickadee Creek (Wildfire)

 The Chickadee Creek Fire started on August 4, 2021 from a dry lightning storm that moved through the region. It is currently estimated to be 490 acres burning in Douglas-fir, western larch, Engelmann spruce and lodgepole pine. The fire is being managed by IMT2, Northern Rockies Team 6. In addition the team is also managing the Walker and Spur Fires. Hand crews are cutting in line on the southern edge of the fire, utilizing dozers to construct line on the East.
