On Sunday afternoon a wildfire started 2 miles southwest of Twenty-five Mile Creek State Park and 19 miles northwest of Chelan, WA. The fire is estimated at 4,000 acres. A type 3 incident management team is in place and a type 2 team has been ordered and will arrive on Wednesday. Level 3 (Go!) evacuation is in effect for folks on Shady Pass Road down to South Lakeshore Road (above Twenty-five Mile Creek State Park).Level 1 (be aware) notice is in effect from the 17000 block of South Lakeshore Road to Twenty-five Mile Creek State Park.
