Narrated Driving Tour Apps by GyPSy Guide

You can tour Yellowstone on your own, but if you download the GyPSy Guide App, you’ll get an insider’s perspective of the park without having to go on a guided tour. It’s like having your own guide in the car with you.

“We wanted to create a guide that still shared helpful and entertaining information, like a really good tour guide,” says Rick Bulich, managing director of Gypsy Guide, “but was designed for visitors who wanted to go sightseeing in their own vehicles – which is just about all of us!

As you drive, the app uses your location to automatically play commentary about history, geology, hikes, wildlife and cultural highlights of the park, like the microscopic bacteria in Yellowstone’s hot springs that have enabled scientists to help find our distant ancestors, cure diseases and even solve murders. It also tells you about upcoming sights, so you have time to decide whether to stop. The best part is you don’t need cell phone service or WiFi for it to play. The app relies on your phone’s GPS signal instead of cell towers.

Driving the Beartooth Highway to the park’s Northeast Entrance? The Gypsy Guide Yellowstone tour has you covered with commentary along the 10,000-foot approach.
