Incident Overview: As of Wednesday, July 10, the fire is now 99% contained at 3,711 acres. Today the Central West Zone Type 3 Incident Management team transferred command of the fire back to the Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management. An engine crew continues to mop up and suppress any remaining heat along the southeast flank of the fire and in and around the structures. All resources with the exception of one engine and overhead have been released from the incident. The Boulder View Fire began Thursday, June 27 east of Carefree, AZ in the Sonoran Desert. Fire crews are taking full suppression actions on the wildfire.
