Incident Overview: The Courtrock Fire was ignited by lightning during thunderstorms that moved through the northeastern Oregon area late in the afternoon on Sunday, July 21, south of Monument and directly west of Long Creek. Oregon Department of Forestry Incident Management Team 1, which was already engaged on the nearby Boneyard Fire, was immediately given command of this fire as well.
