Incident Overview: The South Columbia Basin Fire was first reported on Friday, July 26th, at 1:39 p.m. It is located approximately 9.5 miles west of Cheney, Washington, near Tyler. The fire is burning in timber and light fuels and timber.Fire managers are implementing a full suppression strategy to control the fire as efficiently and safely as possible.
