Incident Overview: The Goat Fire started on the evening on August 5, 2024, 11 miles southeast of Cascade, ID. At 6 a.m. on August 10, 2024, Great Basin Complex Incident Management Team 2 assumed command of the fire. The incident is being managed along with four other fires in the area (Boulder, Wolf Creek, Snag, and Dollar) as the West Mountain Complex.
