Incident Overview: As of 6:00 p.m. on August 13, 2024, California Interagency Incident Management Team 14 has assumed command of the Lodgepole Fire. The fire is currently estimated at 5 acres and burning in the Norse Peak Wilderness, north of Highway 410 near the Lodgepole Campground, located within the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. The Lodgepole Fire is currently threatening multiple privately owned cabins in nearby Forest Service recreational residence cabin tracts along with the Lodgepole Campground. Firefighters and aircraft have been engaged in starting suppression efforts since the fire was reported Monday afternoon. Crews have made access to the fire, started direct fire line construction, and have begun precautions to protect structures that are currently threatened.At this time Highway 410 remains open for travel. Please use caution in the area due to smoke impacts as well as firefighters and emergency equipment working along the highway.
