Incident Overview: The Flat Fire is located about 1.5 miles northeast of Pioneerville in Boise County. The fire started August 5 after a thunderstorm went through the area. Crews from Boise National Forest were initially assigned to the fire, Idaho Department of Lands assumed responsibility on August 8. No structures are currently threatened, and the fire continues to move east, away from the community of Pioneerville. This is a full suppression strategy fire.
