Incident Overview: Wicked Drive Fire was detected on Sunday August 18, following a lighting storm the previous evening. The fire is located in northeast Washington State about 3 miles north of the Long Lake Dam on the Spokane River in Stevens County, WA. Initial attack efforts on Sunday included air resources, ground crews, heavy equipment, and engines. Fire is estimated to be 700 acres. Today, fire behavior is smoldering and fire crews are mopping up. Boaters on Long Lake are advised to stay clear of aerial firefighting resources as they dip water from Long Lake.
