Incident Overview: The Slab Fire is at 50 acres and located one mile east of Goose Lake. This fire was detected on September 8.  Firefighters are making good progress on the fire and are holding it in place with no increase of fire spread.  A fair amount of rain was received on the fire overnight which will help firefighters in containing this fire.  Additional spread of this fire is not expected.  No area closures have been put in place.  This fire is 50% contained.No area closures have been put in place.  The nearby Ram Fir is contained, controlled and declared out.
