Incident Overview: The Blue Front Fire, located on the Smokey Bear Ranger District of the Lincoln National Forest, was detected Monday, October 28, 2024. The Fire is approximately 4 miles west of Alto, and in the Blue 2/South Fork burn scars. Resources and agencies currently responding and assisting include Smokey Bear Hotshots (UTL 612,IHC CREW-1, E-612, E-311), Bonito Fire Department, Ruidoso Office of Emergency Management, and Lincoln County Office of Emergency Services.Air support is also in place.Currently, the wildfire does not threaten structures or human safety.Evacuations: NoneNational Forest Closures: None
