About Me

I’ve worn a few hats in my life—Navy Medic, proud father, devoted stepdad, and passionate advocate for the wild places that make this world worth exploring. These days, I’m charting a course that blends family, adventure, and a deep respect for nature.

🩺 Former Navy Medic – My years in the Navy taught me discipline, resilience, and the importance of showing up when it counts. I carry those lessons with me every day, whether I’m helping someone through a tough time or simply lending an ear over a good drink.

👨‍👧‍👧 Family First – I’m the father of one incredible daughter and stepdad to another four amazing daughters. Life in a house full of strong, smart, and spirited women keeps me grounded—and laughing. They’ve taught me more about patience, empathy, and unconditional love than any manual ever could.

🥃 Single Malt Scotch Enthusiast – There’s something timeless about a well-crafted single malt. I’m always on the lookout for new distilleries and rare finds, especially those tucked away in the Highlands of Scotland. It’s not just about the drink—it’s about the stories behind it.

🌲 Protector of Public Lands – I believe our national parks and public lands are sacred. They’re not just places to visit—they’re places to protect. Whether I’m volunteering, donating, or simply spreading awareness, I’m committed to keeping these spaces wild and accessible for generations to come.

✈️ Traveler at Heart – My love for Scotland runs deeper than its misty glens and storied distilleries—it’s a connection rooted in blood and legacy. These rugged highlands were once home to my 7th great grandmother, Mary McGregor (1664–1711), a resilient matriarch who lived through some of Scotland’s most turbulent years. She endured the Proscription of the McGregor name under King Jame VI of Scotland, a time when bearing that name was punishable by death. Yet she remained, steadfast and proud, in the land of our clan.

Every journey I take to Scotland feels like a homecoming. I walk the same hills she once did, breathe the same crisp air, and raise a glass to the strength and spirit of those who came before me. Travel isn’t just about seeing new places—it’s about honoring old ones. And for me, Scotland will always be sacred ground.
