Well Saydie and I left Tomball yesterday at around 11:30 a.m.. We then drove pretty much all day and all night taking turns driving and sleeping. By three a.m. we were in Arizona, heading towards the Grand Canyon the goal being getting to Mather Point to watch the sunrise over the Grand Canyon.

Saydie were successful at reach our goal with about 25 minutes to spare, this gave us time to go to the bathroom freshen up a little and make the short walk from the parking lot to Mather Point. Typically in a non-COVID environment, Mather Point would be packed with people. This morning it was evident just how much COVID is impacting things. There were perhaps 15 people who did venture out, and luckily everyone was practicing COVID social distancing.

And once Saydie and I staked out a spot. We waited for nature to take its course.
